sinking in silence

surrounded by soft moss,

i seep into the ground.

wisps of hair blind my eyes

the air rips through my throat

my body wailing for release.

blood pumping viciously through my veins

my heart pounding with every drop.

watch me weep—

as nothingness consumes me.

beg for everything i’ve lost,

& then

i’ll run.
